Working as a journalist and filmmaker at the BBC for over twenty years has taught me a really powerful lesson – no two stories are the same. I draw on that knowledge and experience to ensure that each and every one of my clients has a wedding film unlike any other.

There’s something quite amazing about experiencing and feeling a story and then retelling it in a unique film that brings the story back to life. As my clients, you also share the same ethos and passion.

For destination weddings, we usually arrive on location a day ahead of the wedding itself so we can gather footage of the surrounding area, venue and of course get to know you and your story, with a pre-wedding shoot.

KEEPING IT REAL – WEDDINGS FILMS ‘AT HOME’

As well as filming at castles, halls and estates up and down the country, I also love filming weddings when my client has chosen to have their wedding either at home or at a family or friend’s home. As a storyteller I am always looking at what makes each of these special weddings unique.

The most important thing for me, is to stay authentic and reflect the day as it was. Even if it rains! And especially when there happens to be a pop star making a guest appearance…(takes it all in her stride!)

UK & IRELAND WEDDING FILM DESTINATIONS

Story Of Your Day is exclusively recommended by many distinguished planners and venues throughout the UK.

Goldsborough Hall, Grantham Hall and Newby Hall & Gardens are three of our all-time favourite venues, with the option for a church wedding or civil ceremony on-sight.

Hengrave Hall near Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk is a wedding venue where we have filmed several weddings. It’s particularly lovey because it also has a church in the grounds.

Kenwood House in London only allows a handful of weddings each year and Story of Your Day is proud to be their preferred videographer.

Story Of Your Day also films International clients’ weddings in the UK and one particular venue where there are many ‘destination weddings, is Swinton Estate in North Yorkshire – ideally suited for luxury and high-end weddings.
