Stunning Summer Proposal in Wengen | Photo + Film

Max travelled from the United States with a clear idea of what he wanted for his proposal to Audra: somewhere beautiful, private and unmistakably Switzerland.

Together, we planned a summer proposal experience in Wengen that gave them time to enjoy the moment itself before continuing with photography and filmmaking around the village and surrounding landscape.



Nothing was rushed and nothing felt like a photoshoot. The proposal came first. Everything we created afterwards grew naturally from their experience.

And perhaps Max says it best:

“Planning a proposal from the United States in Switzerland felt overwhelming at first, but from our very first conversation Emma made me feel completely at ease. She genuinely cared about creating the perfect experience, not just taking beautiful photos.

Winter proposal on the Männlichen | Photo only

Marlon & Gabrielle
‘Boxing’ Day. Deep winter. Absolute stillness.

This proposal took place high on the Männlichen ski slopes above Wengen, before the skiers arrived. To keep everything discreet, I acted as a decoy, posing as a local tour guide. This allowed early access and complete privacy.

Marlon and Gabrielle later said it didn’t feel real being up there alone, surrounded by snow and light. One of my favourite images of the year came from this moment. A snowmobile passed through the frame at exactly the right second.

Meticulously planned. But looked un-staged. Perfect.

Winter proposal on the Männlichen | Photo + film

Hoff & Nuhara
Same location. Different approach.

This proposal also took place before public access, but having a film changed the logistics. To keep everything natural, my husband acted as the decoy and guide while I moved ahead to the proposal spot to be fully set up and ready.

When they arrived, everything was in place. No waiting. No adjustment. Just the moment unfolding as it should.

After the proposal, the morning continued gently around Wengen, allowing space for the moment to settle while capturing the day as it unfolded.

Late autumn proposal overlooking Lauterbrunnen Valley | Film

Erin thought this would be a simple walk. What she didn’t know was that family and friends had travelled from the United States in secret and were waiting nearby.

Their intimate and private proposal was followed by a proposal bomb. Reactions. Disbelief. Tears. Film was essential here, capturing not just the surprise but the layers of emotion that followed.

The following day, we continued with an engagement shoot in Zermatt, letting the pace soften after the intensity of the proposal.

Summer proposal above Lauterbrunnen Valley | Photo + film

Cobi & Nykie
This was a last-minute booking.

Cobi arranged a photo and film session on private farmland high above the Lauterbrunnen Valley. Nykie Pretorius is a social media influencer and was the winner on South Africa’s The Bachelor – she knew she was being filmed. But she didn’t know she was about to be proposed to.

When someone expects a shoot, the challenge is keeping the proposal itself completely unexpected. Timing, positioning, and pacing all have to be handled quietly.

The result was a genuine surprise, total privacy, and uninterrupted views across the valley.

Glacier proposal to valley engagement shoot | Photo only

Tayab & Mariam

This proposal took place high on the Petersgrat Glacier, reached only by helicopter.  Turns out Tayab was very afraid during the flight but he held it together and his nerves didn’t show.

The proposal itself was simple and unhurried, surrounded by snow, space, and silence. Afterwards, we returned to the Lauterbrunnen Valley for a relaxed engagement shoot.

Summer proposal from Wengen to Iseltwald | Photo + film

Pak Ming & Iyan Xin

This proposal unfolded across two locations.

It began with a quiet picnic in Wengen, setting an unhurried pace and giving space for the moment to land naturally. From there, we travelled down to Iseltwald for photo and film on the lakeside pier.

Spring brings softness.
Lighter air.
Longer pauses.

This proposal leaned into that, letting the experience build rather than rush.

Alongside the proposal itself, two moments stood out.
