Together, we’ll visit stunning locations, many of them away from the tourist trails, creating beautiful photographs and film while you enjoy the first few hours of your engagement.

As an internationally acclaimed wedding filmmaker and former BBC video journalist, I offer both proposal photography and filmmaking, giving you the freedom to choose photography, film or both. Many of the couples who first find me through a proposal later invite me to film their elopement or wedding, whether that’s here in Switzerland or somewhere else in the world.

Keeping it a Secret? That’s half the fun.

I go to great lengths to ensure that your beloved doesn’t know what’s about to happen – or that I’m a photographer and videographer.

I’ll play whatever part needed to ensure my presence doesn’t give it all away. I’ve been a “tour guide.” I’ve hidden video cameras out of sight on my neighbours’ balconies. Once, our local alpine helicopter company let me borrow one of their uniforms to play the part of being on their team.

So, if you’re concerned that having a photographer present will ruin the moment, then don’t worry one bit. I’m a professional. I know how to keep myself hidden.

For me, keeping the secret is half the fun!

Questions before the question

Proposal photography, pre-wedding photography shoots, digital invites and pregnancy announcement photography all typically start at 1800 Swiss Francs. This includes all the planning, set-up and consultations in the lead up to the event, 3 to 4 hours of photography in multiple locations, and 60 high-resolution images. Images are delivered digitally in an online gallery.

This price applies to photography in and around the Lauterbrunnen Valley including Wengen, Murren, Grindelwald as well as helicopter excursions in the areas surrounding Interlaken.

As Story Of Your Day is also a wedding videography company and is booked for weddings most peak weekends, I can only accept advance bookings at this rate for weekday shoots. Weekend sessions are available, but at a higher rate.

Videography for proposals, vow renewals and other special events start at 2500 Swiss Francs for 4 to 5 hours of filming with multiple locations. This price includes all of the consultations and planning we’ll do together in the lead-up to the event.

The result is a cinematic 1’30 film which can also be delivered in portrait format to share as an Instagram reel.

Ask about my special offers if you wish to book photography and videography together.

As with proposal photography, engagement videography sessions which occur on a weekend are available, but incur an additional fee.

My packages all include full planning, logistics, and all consultations in the weeks and months leading up to your visit to Switzerland.

Depending on what you choose, my packages either include a 1’30 film, photography with 50 high resolution images, or both.

Each of my packages are completely customizable, so, for example, you can choose to include more than one day of filming in your package or you can choose to have more images, a longer film, or multiple films.

Switzerland travel planning is also available through our in-house ‘Swiss Concierge’ service.

Yes. I’m licensed to fly drones in Switzerland, and aerials can be included in proposal films or added to photography-only sessions. If you choose to upgrade, I’ll edit a short teaser – ideal for announcing your engagement or sharing the moment with friends and family. Check my Instagram reels for past examples.

Keep in mind, flying is weather-dependent and restricted in some areas.

Yes, I specialise in LBGTQ+ wedding videography and have had the pleasure of capturing many unforgettable wedding love stories of LGBTQ+ couples.

I haven’t photographed or filmed any LGBTQ+ proposals or engagements yet, but I’d love to. Please get in touch.

You will receive a sneak peek of 20 images from your session within 12 hours of the shoot.

Your full online photography gallery will be delivered within 1 week of the photoshoot and, if you have booked a film, you can expect to receive your film shortly after.

You can choose to expedite the photography or videography edits as an extra cost.

I’m quite the ‘keeper of secrets’ when it comes to the locations I frequent. I do not share my insider knowledge of this area with anyone, not even other photographers.

This is important because it’s the only way I can be sure you will not have your special moment interrupted or have strangers looking in.

After the actual proposal, we’ll spend the rest of the shoot at various locations in the area of your choosing, and at each of them we will be on our own, without another soul in sight!

I’ll be honest—you never know exactly what you’re going to get with the weather in Switzerland.

But, whenever possible, I allow flexibility for filming and photography days so you can have the best possible chance for good weather.
