 Emma Wilson is the Creative Director behind Story Of Your Day. Two decades at the BBC as a Pioneer Video Journalist shaped an instinct for story that still drives every film she makes today, whether that is a wedding, a celebration or a significant event.

That journalistic instinct still shapes every film she creates today.
Whether documenting a wedding, a celebration or a significant event, Emma approaches each occasion with the same curiosity and sensitivity developed during her years in broadcast journalism.

Rather than simply filming what happens, she looks for the moments, conversations and emotions that reveal the real story of the day.

The result is a film that allows people to return to the moment and feel it again.

At Story Of Your Day, our philosophy is simple: to document celebrations through cinematic storytelling.

Whether filming a private party, milestone celebration or cultural event, the focus is always the same – people, atmosphere and the moments that make the occasion meaningful.

Our clients are drawn to this approach because they want more than a highlight reel. They want a film that feels personal and authentic, capturing the spirit and emotion of the event.

Rather than creating something highly stylised or staged, our films focus on the genuine narrative unfolding throughout the celebration.

We didn’t follow a formula. We wrote the narrative.
