Elaine and Alexander tied the knot at the delightful Villa Villette in Cham, Switzerland. A historic building in a magnificent setting overlooking Lake Zug.
The couple met in Singapore in 2013 but have spent the past five years of their relationship living across different time zones. Elaine is based in Singapore and Alexander in Switzerland.
But they have learnt how to love and battle through the challenges of a long-distance love affair – it’s all about teamwork, trust and respect.
Their small and classic wedding at Villa Villette was witnessed by just a handful of guests, including their beloved pooch.Their wedding day didn’t go exactly to plan. Alex had arranged a surprise helicopter flight over the Alps for his new bride but it rained all day. But, they joined me close to where I live for an open-top cable car ride up to the Maennlichen, a 2,343-metre mountain in the Swiss Alps located within the Canton of Berne. It was a lovely morning, the sun shined and it was perfect setting, sitting beneath the North Face of The Eiger, for the newlyweds to share their special vows with one another.
