If you’re looking for the perfect Swiss lake wedding location with stunning views of the mountains … Then you need look no further than Schloss Schadau on Lake Thun – the stunning setting for the wedding of Melanie and Marc, who married there in May this year and asked me to capture their story.
It’s exactly why this gorgeous couple chose this venue for their wedding,
“It was one of the more beautiful locations in Switzerland,” Melanie continues …. “I had always wanted a fairytale castle wedding, We can also see the mountains that we met in front of when I first came to Switzerland. So it’s the perfect place for us and our story.”
At the wedding there were lot’s of surprises organised by the family to surprise the bride and groom including poems read by family, doves released, games throughout the wedding dinner and Swiss traditions including Yodelling and shots of Grappa!
Melanie is from the United States and Marc is Swiss – they met in Mürren when Melanie was traveling through Switzerland in May 2017.
They met when Melanie was a guest at the hotel Marc worked at. It was actually Melanie who approached Marc and began talking to him first, asking him various questions about the area. Marc then asked Melanie to join him that evening at the bar across town for drinks… and so it began.
During their ceremony the celebrent told their story of how their love for one another survived the distance of The Atlantic between them. And I of course told their story in this beautiful film.
Melanie and Marc love traveling, exploring new places, spending time with family, hosting dinner parties with friends and for them ‘Honesty, openness, communication, quality time, and having fun’ are the things that matter to them and which makes them tick as a couple.
